brand madness

i remembered my holiday to indonesia, i was very exited to visit everyone that i know, my big family and my friends. but at that time, everyone is also exited to go to Zara (When this big Spanish retailer open in Indonesia, I was already in Amsterdam..). Zara on sale. “S.A.L.E” which is the favorite word for all shopacholic-females outhere..

“eh, Zara lagi sale tuhh…”

yes.. i love sale. but.. the problem is i’ve heard these sentences thousands of times… so what?! i dont care if Zara is having a sale! I even heard a story about the queue infront of the store.. 10 people gets out.. 10 people in.. its ridiculous!

but at that time i’ve reach the “enough” point.. it turns out that i become curious. what is this sale like? what stuff are zara selling? is it the same? bunch of quesion come out of my head and make me walk to the closest Zara store… of course.. in Kelapa Gading Mall 3…

by the time i entered the store, its not that crowded.. maybe because the sale time is almost over or im too early. i look at the sale items.. i almost laugh there. cant even compare it with the sale in amsterdam. here a sale price of a zara Tee can cost only 3euros. yeah..yeah.. i think its always like that for a sale price in indonesia. a lil reduction and they call it a big sale. haha…!!

in the store i also look at their new collection.. which is the autumn collection. its so funny when i say a coat, i mean a long coat. its more that a million rupiah.. well.. the price is actually the same with only more digits in indonesia (hahahhaha..). but will people actually buy that stuff. u know.. indonesia… its bloody hot!

in the end.. i make a conclusion that people are in their Zara madness.. its just like what happened years ago in indonesia also caused by the spanish retailer.. competitor of Zara.. Mango. lets just see… what will be next? h&m? bestseller with brands veromoda, only, pieces, etc.?

sorry for leo, croco, liz, and python..

    

lookin at the fall collection 2006.. i feel sorry for leopard, crocodile, alligator, lizard, and python skin. those animal skin are the most seen in the runway this fall.  from milan, paris and new york.. all the famous designer are using those animal skin as bags or shoes. just name the designer..and you’ll find one of their product made from these skins. to mention some… Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Versace, Gucci, Giorgio Armani, Manolo Blahnik, Chanel, Chloe, Dior, LV, and many more…..

those animal skin are very exotic..and people today were interested in it more than ever. John Galliano even combined crocodile and python skin to make a new face of the Dior gaucho bag. looks fascinating though. will you imagine if those animals go to the shops and look at those collection, they will go insane! it’ll never happened though…

i remember about j.lo’s case. she love fur coat.. and because she’s J.Lo.. she has thousands of em on her closets. all the animal lovers just hate her… well.. i have to hate her to because of this. if you open the site   http://www.jlodown.com/  and you watch the video on how people take fur from those poor animals… and you’ll know what i mean. i havent finish the video myself..

killing heels

i cant understand why women wears those high heels.. i’m a woman.. i’ve tried it before but.. its just killing me.. well… i wear high heels but just depends on what kind of heels and the height of it… not like in the pictures that i’ve inserted.. i’ll never wear it..

can u guys out there imagine to wear one of these 3 shoes? it’s a pride to own one of them.. but to tell u da truth.. i wont wear it.. first of all because it was expensive.. second.. it’ll kill me less than an hour… ( pic.1 - suede vertige sandal with metal heel by Alexandra Neel)

AmFI girls wears those kinds of heels.. and they go home with public transportation. i dont know how will they walk in those pavement infront of my school building. i was stuck there once and i promise to myself that i wont wear it again unless…. i became expert in wearing these killing heels. dont know when i’ll become an expert.. the question is why women wants to wear high heels? is it because u can become taller? or make ur leg sexier? or just following trends? i want to know the reasons..

how about men’s opinion? do they found women in high heels attractive? do women who’s a shoes freak strange? (could you guys out there help me by giving me some comments…)

have to admit though that these 3 example are great shoes. they are just beautiful.. not just an ordinary shoes though.. they are the work of art which will become a great trend setter in the future. i adore them but for now.. i cant wear them yet.. maybe someday.. if my feet are use to it or there are reasons that make me use these heels… job maybe… (pic.3 - "black patent-leather T-strap pump by Marc Jacobs")

well.. im studyin at a fashion school in amsterdam. and im thinking of
writing some article or comments on fashion issues.. some of it i
create myself.. i just need some comments on it.
